Covid and Flu Vaccinations Autumn 2025

This years flu and covid vaccination programme is focusing on ensuring those who are most vulnerable to the effects of these viruses, get the best available protection. Vaccination is also about careful planning and population health management, which is why the government meticulously plans the rollout of the vaccinations each year.

This year both vaccinations can be administered at the same appointment, saving you time and improving efficiency for everyone. The Orchard Partnership is backing this program, and we are keen to help everyone eligible gets the vaccine that is appropriate and right for them.

COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility from October 2025:

  • Residents in a care home for older adults
  • Adults aged 76+ years
  • Persons aged 6 months and over who have immunosuppressed condition

Flu Vaccination Eligibility from SEPTEMBER 2025:

  • Pregnant women
  • All children 2-3 years on 31st August 2025
  • Primary and Secondary school aged children (reception to Y11)
  • All children in clinical risk groups aged 6 to 18 months

Flu Vaccination Eligibility from OCTOBER 2025:

  • Those age 65 years and over
  • those age 18-65 years in clinical risk groups
  • Those in long-stay residential care homes
  • Carers receiving carers allowance , or those who are the main carer of an elderly/disabled person
  • Those who are close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
  • Frontline health and social care workers

Booking a vaccination appointment

For your convenience, please check that you meet this years eligibility before contacting the surgery to book a COVID-19/Flu vaccination appointment.
If you book an appointment you are not eligible for, you will not be vaccinated and will be turned away on the day. Please ask our receptionists if you are not sure, and they will check for you.
